Thing 18

Google docs seems like a really good idea (similar to wiki), but haven't used it. Ann

Thing 6

Pretty cake. Thing 6 is done!

Thing 5

Pretty horsey. Thing 5 is done!

Sandbox - thing 17

Another interesting feature, but too many details on how to get from Point A to Point B were missing and if I didn't have a lot of help I never could have figured out how to finish the task. I am not sure how this would be used in the library. I don't feel familiar enough with it to figure out how to really use it.

Wikis

I thought the tutorial on wikis was very interesting. I can see where it would be very useful for groups and committees. I went on the Ocean County site and thought it was very informational, but the history tab we looked at was confusing and not particularly inviting. There was nothing on the discussion tab. I am not sure how the general library population would use it in regard to the library.

Library 2.0

I think having information at your fingertips is a great idea. There is a lack of space in most libraries to store large numbers of books, so being able to find things easily on the computer is wonderful. However there are a lot of people who cannot or will not use the internet. I hope we aren't going to just forget about them. I personally do not like sitting and reading off the computer for any length of time. It is uncomfortable for my neck and eyes. I don't suppose we have an answer for that yet???

Technorati

I found technorati interesting and I did like looking up blogs on Peruvian horses. But the blogs I found weren't strictly on the subject. I think it would be interesting to read more blogs if I had the time.
